Everything you need to know before booking your safari adventure with Brell Tours
The dry winter months (May to October) are generally considered the best time for wildlife viewing in the Greater Kruger region. During this period, animals gather around water sources, making them easier to spot. However, each season offers unique experiences - summer (November to April) brings lush landscapes, newborn animals, and excellent birdwatching.
No special vaccinations are required for visiting the Greater Kruger region if you're coming from South Africa or most international destinations. However, we recommend consulting your doctor or travel clinic for the latest health advisories. Malaria prophylaxis is often recommended for travel in this region - please speak with your healthcare provider.
Wear neutral-colored, comfortable clothing in greens, browns, and khakis. Avoid bright colors and white. Layers work best as mornings can be cool and afternoons warm. Bring a hat, sunglasses, and closed-toe walking shoes. We recommend avoiding denim as it can be uncomfortable in warm weather.
